48 degrees this morning! Today is the first day since last winter that I've run in long pants. I probably could have gotten away with shorts--Jennifer did. After the first few minutes, I could feel my body temperature rise, and I was almost too warm by the end of the run. We decided today to run in the Turkey Trot, a 5 K here in town. Something to look forward to, a new goal!
Yesterday I did force myself out of bed to the gym, where I ran a mile and then did my weights. Last night I walked the track with Jim. We talked so much, I lost track of time, so I don't even remember if we did three miles or four. How's that for not paying attention?

Good for you! And good luck in the race!

It's funny just how many races are named "Turkey Trot." I think there are a dozen in New England alone. I'm thinking of hosting a Turkey Trot race in May, and see what people think of that. : /

LOL you crack me up, Chris!! You would think people would be more creative. The "run before you pass out from overeating race" or the "pig out marathon".....

Yeah! We even have one up here. I think the University of Alberta hosts it but am not sure.
P.S. Brrrr? Sounds like a nice day to us in the frozen north! ;)

48 degrees is actually perfect running weather. The body doesn't have to work too hard to warm up nor waste much water keeping it cool. I hope it's 48 degrees for this year's Chicago Marathon!

Great post! Isn't it fun when you loose track of time? I love having running/walking buddies.
